National Living Wage & Minimum Wage Checker
Check whether an hourly rate of pay meets the UK National Living Wage or National Minimum Wage for the worker's age.
An estimate, not a compliance check. Rates are those on GOV.UK from 1 April 2026 (checked 25 September 2026). It does not calculate the accommodation offset or other deductions that can count towards minimum wage pay. If you think pay is below the legal minimum, see GOV.UK or contact Acas.
Current rates (from 1 April 2026)
The apprentice rate
The apprentice rate applies to apprentices aged under 19, or aged 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship. An apprentice aged 19 or over who has finished their first year gets the normal rate for their age instead.
