Statutory Redundancy Pay Calculator

Work out the statutory minimum redundancy payment, based on age, length of service and weekly pay.

A statutory minimum, not your actual payment. Needs at least 2 complete years of continuous employment. Your employer may offer more. Figures are for redundancies from 6 April 2026 (checked 7 October 2026).

How it's worked out

Each complete year of continuous employment counts for half a week's pay if you were under 22 that year, one week's pay for 22 to 40, and one and a half week's pay for 41 or over — using your age at the start of each year of service, counting back from the leaving date. Only the most recent 20 years count, and weekly pay is capped at £751, giving a maximum statutory payment of £22,530.
