UK Holiday Entitlement Calculator

Work out the statutory minimum paid holiday — for a regular working pattern, or using the 12.07% method for irregular hours and part-year workers.

How it's worked out

Everyone is entitled to 5.6 weeks' paid holiday a year, capped at 28 days. For a regular pattern, multiply the number of days worked a week by 5.6. For irregular hours or part-year workers, leave instead accrues at 12.07% of the hours actually worked in each pay period — a figure GOV.UK derives from 5.6 weeks' leave out of 46.4 working weeks a year (52 − 5.6).

Employers can roll holiday pay into the hourly rate ("rolled-up holiday pay") for irregular-hours and part-year workers whose leave year started on or after 1 April 2024, but never for workers with regular hours.
