Extract Emails from a CSV Column

Open a CSV file (or paste it), pick the column that holds the email addresses and copy them out as a simple list.

Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Limit: a maximum file size.

Use extracted emails responsibly and respect anti-spam laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL): only contact people who have agreed to hear from you.

How it works

The CSV is read with the usual rules (commas, semicolons, tabs or pipes; quotes around cells that contain the separator; quotes inside quotes doubled). The tool checks every column and suggests the one with the most email addresses; if your file has a header row, the column names are shown. You can choose another column if it guessed wrong.

A cell such as Jane Doe <jane@example.com> still gives the address. Please use extracted emails responsibly and respect anti-spam laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL). For other formats use CSV column extractor (any column) or extract emails from text.

Frequently asked questions

My file uses semicolons. Will it work?

Yes. The separator (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe) is detected automatically.

What about Excel files?

Save the sheet as CSV first (File → Save As → CSV). Or use the Excel to CSV tool on this site.

Is the file uploaded?

No. It is read and processed in your browser.
