Extract Emails from Text

Paste any text — an email thread, a web page, a document — and get a clean list of the email addresses in it.

Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Limit: a maximum file size.

Use extracted emails responsibly and respect anti-spam laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL): only contact people who have agreed to hear from you.

How it works

The tool scans the text for anything shaped like an email address (a name, an @ sign and a domain with a dot), checks the syntax, and lists each match on its own line. It also finds addresses inside longer lines such as Jane Doe <jane@example.com> or in the source of a web page saved as a file. It does not check whether an address really exists or receives mail.

It only reads what you give it — it does not visit websites. Please use extracted emails responsibly and respect anti-spam laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL). To pick addresses from a spreadsheet column instead, use extract emails from a CSV column.

Frequently asked questions

Does it find addresses on a website?

Only if you paste the page text or save the page and open the file here. The tool never fetches websites.

What file types can I open?

Plain text, CSV, HTML and other text-based files. PDF and Word files are not supported: copy the text out first.

Is my text uploaded?

No. Everything is processed in your browser.
