Clean Email List
Tidy a list in one go: trim spaces, lower-case, fix typos and remove invalid, duplicate, role-based or disposable addresses — with a report of everything that changed.
Spaces, quotes and angle brackets around addresses are always removed.
How it works
The steps run in this order for every address: lower-case, fix typos, check the format, remove role addresses, remove disposable domains, then remove duplicates (so A@x.com and a@x.com count as one). Each removed address is listed with the reason in the report you can download, so nothing disappears without a trace. Fixing typos is optional, and “probable” typo fixes are guesses you should review.
The individual steps are also available as separate tools: syntax validator, remove duplicates, typo fixer, role detector and disposable detector. Cleaning a list reduces bounces but cannot prove that a mailbox exists.
Frequently asked questions
Does lower-casing change the address?
Technically the part before the @ can be case-sensitive, but virtually every mail system ignores case. Untick the box to keep the original case.
Which duplicate is kept?
The first one, in the original order.
Is my list uploaded?
No. Cleaning happens in your browser (the disposable domain list, if used, is downloaded to it).
