Email List Converter
Turn a plain list into CSV or Excel, an Excel or CSV file into a plain list, or change one spreadsheet format into another.
You can also open an Excel file (.xlsx or .xls):
How it works
Give the tool a plain list (one address per line), CSV text (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe) or an Excel file. If your data has several columns the tool finds the one with the email addresses (or tells you if it cannot). Choose only the email column for a clean one-column result, or the whole table to change the file format without dropping any column. Excel files are read in a background worker, so large files do not freeze the page; only the first sheet is used unless you pick another.
Excel (.xlsx) can hold up to about a million rows, and this tool limits lists to 500,000 rows for speed. Text files are saved as UTF-8. For a plain CSV to Excel or Excel to CSV conversion of any data, see CSV to Excel and Excel to CSV.
Frequently asked questions
Why did it not find my email column?
The tool looks for cells that contain addresses. If your file has none, or the addresses are inside long text, use extract emails from text first.
Which Excel formats can I open?
.xlsx, .xls, .xlsm and .ods. Only the first sheet is converted by default.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is converted in your browser; the spreadsheet library is downloaded to it from a public CDN.
