Role-Based Email Detector
Spot shared or role addresses — info@, sales@, support@, admin@ and more — and separate them from personal ones.

How it works
A role address belongs to a function or team rather than a person — info@, sales@, support@, admin@, accounts@, hr@, noreply@, postmaster@ and around 100 others. The part before the @ is compared with the built-in list, ignoring upper and lower case, dots, underscores and hyphens (so customer.service and customer-service match) and any +tag.
Role addresses often reach several people, may be monitored by filters, and can have higher complaint rates for bulk email, which is why some senders remove them; for one-to-one business enquiries they can be exactly the right address. Names that only look similar (information@, sale@) are not treated as roles. Related: clean email list can remove them for you.
Frequently asked questions
Is it always wrong to email a role address?
No. It depends on your purpose: they are usually fine for business enquiries and less suitable for personal marketing.
Can I add my own role names?
Not yet; the list is built in. Use the personal list to check for extra names by eye.
Is my list uploaded?
No. It stays in your browser.
