Merge Videos
Add two or more video files, put them in the order you want, and join them into a single video. If they already share the same picture format, size and frame rate, they are joined instantly with no loss of quality; otherwise they are re-encoded to match the first video.
How it works
Add your video files (choose several at once, or add more later), then drag them by the ✥ handle — or use the ▲▼ buttons — to put them in the order you want. When you press Merge and save, the tool looks at each file's picture format, size and frame rate.
If every file matches, they are joined end to end with a plain copy: instant, and with no loss of quality at all. If they do not match — different resolutions, frame rates, or one has sound and another does not — every file is re-encoded to the picture size and frame rate of the first file, with black bars added where needed to keep the picture from being stretched, and silence added under any file that has no sound of its own.
How long does it take?
An instant join takes a few seconds regardless of length. A re-encoded join runs at the same speed as the Video Converter (about half of real time for 720p, a quarter for 1080p), and the page warns before it starts if it looks slow. To keep memory use down with many files, the videos are combined a few at a time rather than all at once.
Frequently asked questions
How many videos can I merge?
Up to 10 at a time, as long as their combined size is within the limit shown above. To join more, merge them in two batches and then merge the two results together.
Can I mix formats, like an MP4 and a WebM?
Yes. Any formats the engine can read can be mixed; when they do not already match, the result is saved as MP4 (H.264 + AAC).
Is anything uploaded?
No. Everything is read from your disk and processed in your browser.
