Image Splitter

Cut one picture into a grid of tiles — for a carousel, a grid of posts, a poster printed on several sheets or a puzzle.

Your image never leaves your computer. It is cut into tiles inside your browser — nothing is uploaded or stored.

Using the tiles

Choose how many columns and rows you want; the picture is divided into equal tiles (any spare pixels are shared out so nothing is lost). Tiles are numbered row by row, left to right. With the posting order option on, the numbering runs backwards, so if you post the tiles one after another to a three-column profile grid, the first tile you post lands at the bottom right and the picture assembles correctly once all are up.

For a seamless carousel, a 1×2 or 1×3 split of a wide image works well. For the sharpest results start with a large original: each tile keeps the original pixels, so a 3×3 split of a 3000×3000 picture gives nine 1000×1000 tiles.
