Gold Live
Everything I see while I trade gold, on one page. If a block has nothing fresh to show, it says so instead of making something up.
Market Quick Take
My short read on gold, refreshed about every 30 minutes.
Coming. The Market Quick Take is written automatically by DRF Bot, the editorial robot of this site. It is not switched on yet, so nothing is shown here. When it is, this block will carry the latest text with its time.
XAU/USD spot price
From a public gold price service, checked every 30 seconds.
Waiting for the price…
My DRF bias
My own technical read on M15, H1 and H4, with H4 weighted most: trend, momentum and where the price sits in its recent range.
I do not have a fresh read to show right now.
Technical summary and indicator consensus
Moving averages and oscillators on each timeframe from my MetaTrader 5 terminal, one vote each. See every indicator.
My terminal has not sent a fresh technical reading yet.
My live signal account
A real EUR account at IC Markets, shown for information only. The full figures are on the DRF Signal page.
The signal feed has not reported yet.
What is coming up
Key releases from the economic calendar, with the typical gold move around a release where the News Impact Analyser has measured one.
My economic calendar feed has not reported in recently, so I have no fresh events to show.
Gold and the dollar
How closely gold has moved against the US dollar index over the last 20 and 50 days. See the tool.
The correlation feed has not reported yet.
News I am watching
From my bias reading: the next important release near gold.
No news item to show right now.
Gold spreads at three companies
Live XAU/USD spreads from my own accounts. The company names are affiliate links; see the Affiliate Disclosure.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is Gold Live?
- One page with the gold information that this site collects: the spot price, my own indicator reading of the market, the news and events I am watching, the spread at three companies and the state of my live signal account. Everything is about gold (XAU/USD).
- Where does the data come from?
- The price comes from a public gold price service. The indicator reading, the signal and the spreads come from my own MetaTrader 5 terminals, which send them to the DRF server. The calendar and the other blocks are worked out on the DRF server from public data.
- Why do some blocks say "coming" or "waiting"?
- Because there is nothing fresh to show. The page never shows an old figure as if it were live, and it never invents one. The Market Quick Take is written by DRF Bot, which is not running yet, so that block says so.
- What is DRF Bot?
- The editorial robot of this site. It will turn the live data into a short text (the Market Quick Take) and a daily article. It is a program that follows rules I set, not a person.
- Is this advice to trade?
- No. It is information. Trading gold carries a high level of risk and you can lose more than you expected. Read the Risk Disclosure.
