Expert Advisor Robot Test
An honest read on whether your MetaTrader 5 robot is worth taking further, from a structured test across many scenarios.
The Problem
You have an MT5 robot and you want a straight answer: is it genuinely promising, or does it only look good on one lucky run? A handful of manual tests cannot tell you, and a robot that merely compiles proves nothing.
About this problem
A single backtest can look excellent by accident. What matters is whether a robot holds up when the period, the market and the settings change. My test setup runs a robot across hundreds of such combinations, which is not something you can judge by eye or from a few manual runs.
The price is for a standard case: one MQL5 robot trading one symbol. If your robot trades many symbols or needs special data, I tell you before any additional chargeable work.
What's Included
- Testing of one MQL5 Expert Advisor (.ex5 file) through my own test setup, which runs it across many scenarios: different periods, market conditions and settings
- A written report with what I tested, the results, where the robot is strong, where it breaks, and whether it is worth taking further
- Plain-language conclusions, without hype and without promises
- Optional: the .mq5 source, if you have it, so I can read the logic directly instead of judging only the compiled file
What's NOT Included
- Fixing, changing or improving the robot (see the repair and creation services)
- Forecasting how it will perform in future. A test describes the past under stated conditions
- MQL4 files (.mq4 or .ex4), which this setup does not run
- Robots that need data or services I cannot reproduce, such as private feeds, unless you provide them
- Any promise of profit, of a particular return or of a limit on loss. An Expert Advisor carries out your rules exactly; whether the rules make money is down to the strategy and the market.
How It Works
- You send the .ex5 file and, if you have it, the .mq5 source, with the symbol and timeframe it is meant for and what you want tested.
- I check that it runs in my setup and tell you if something stops it.
- I run the structured tests across the scenarios.
- I write the report: results, weak points, and a plain opinion on whether it is worth going further.
- I send you the report by email.
In practice: you buy the service, send over whatever access or details the job needs, I investigate and do the work, and you confirm it's resolved before we call it done.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What does a robot test tell me?
- Whether the robot is promising or fragile, based on how it behaves across many conditions. It describes the past; it does not predict the future.
- Can you test a robot for any symbol?
- Yes, for MetaTrader 5 robots on common symbols. If the symbol or data is unusual, tell me first.
- Do you test MetaTrader 4 robots?
- No. This setup runs MQL5 only. The conversion service can move an MT4 robot to MT5 first.
- Will you tell me if my robot is bad?
- Yes, plainly. That is the point of the test.
- Can you then fix what the test finds?
- That is a separate order: the repair service for faults in code, or the creation service for a rebuild.
- Do I need to send the source code?
- No, but it helps. With the source I can read the logic. With only the .ex5 I judge behaviour alone.
