I write the programs I trade with, and I write them for other traders too. Three fixed-price packages: have an Expert Advisor created, have a broken one fixed, or have a system converted from one platform to another.
Please read. An Expert Advisor is a tool that follows rules. It does not predict the market, trading carries a high level of risk, and nothing I write comes with a promise of profit. Why me
- I trade and I code. When you describe a rule, I do not need the trading explained to me.
- I have been on the other side: paying a developer and getting back something I would not trust with money. I work to the standard I would want for my own account.
- The price is fixed and shown before you start. If a job turns out to be bigger than the package, I tell you first.
How it works
- Choose a package. Pick the one that fits: create, fix or convert.
- Send the details. The package page lists exactly what to send, in plain text.
- I check it first. I read what you sent and tell you whether it can be done, before you commit.
- I build, repair or convert. I do the work myself and test it on a demo account.
- Delivery and a week of fixes. You receive the files, and genuine bugs are fixed for seven days.
What to send me
- Your rules or your source files, written down as text rather than described in a call
- The symbol, timeframe, broker and platform you use
- Anything the program must never do
- What you want at the end: a robot, a repaired robot, or the same system on another platform
Write it as text. It keeps every rule on record and avoids misunderstandings later.
Frequently asked questions
- Who is this for?
- Traders who use MetaTrader or a similar platform and want a program to follow rules for them, or want an existing program repaired or moved.
- Do you promise the code will make money?
- No. A trading program carries out rules. It cannot make a poor idea good, and trading carries a high level of risk. Test everything on a demo account first.
- Who owns the code?
- The code written for you is yours once you have paid in full. The compiled file is always included. The editable source is available when you ask for it before the work starts and we agree it in writing. I keep my general techniques but never your private rules.
- How do I pay?
- Each package page has an order button. While ordering is not open, the button sends you to the contact form with the package already named, and I reply by email.
- What if you cannot do the job?
- You are told before work begins and nothing is charged. If you change your mind before I start writing, you get your payment back.
- Can I see examples of your own code?
- The DRF Expert Advisors on this site are the programs I write for my own use. Each has a page that says what it does and how it behaved when used live.
- Is this the same as the services on donaldsonrf.pro?
- No. The .pro site is for IT, hosting and free everyday tools. The trading code packages on this site are for traders and are written and priced separately.
- Do you work with customers outside the United Kingdom?
- Yes. Prices are in pounds sterling and the work is done by email.
