Writing accessible tables

Use a header row (<th> inside <thead>) so screen readers can announce which column a cell belongs to, add a caption to say what the table shows, and keep tables for real tabular data rather than page layout. The generated code escapes special characters in your cells (&, <, >) so what you type is shown literally. Column alignment uses a small inline text-align style so it works with or without the CSS; the CSS block is optional and scoped to the class name you choose. Wrap wide tables in a scrollable container so they stay usable on phones.
