Tracking Parameter Remover

Paste one URL per line, or a block of text that contains links, and get them back without tracking parameters. Functional parameters are kept, and no link is ever opened.

Nothing leaves your browser. The tool only edits the text you paste. It does not open, follow or resolve links (so short links and redirects are left as they are).

Parameters removed

What gets removed, and what does not

Tracking parameters are extra name=value pairs after the ? in a link. They tell an analytics or advertising system where a visitor came from; they do not change the page you see. The default list contains only parameters whose owners document them (sources below): the nine Google Analytics campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, utm_id, utm_source_platform, utm_creative_format, utm_marketing_tactic), advertising click IDs (gclid, gbraid, wbraid, dclid, msclkid, fbclid, ttclid, twclid, li_fat_id, yclid) and Mailchimp email IDs (mc_cid, mc_eid). Everything else stays exactly as you pasted it, including encoding, order and the #fragment, so parameters such as id, page, q or a YouTube t= time are never touched unless you add them to the list. Names that other sites use for tracking but that have no public documentation are not listed; add them yourself if you know them. If you prefer the opposite approach, choose "Everything except the parameters I keep" and list what must stay.

Good to know. Do not strip click IDs from the landing-page links of your own live ads: your advertising account uses them to record conversions. Removing them from links you share or store is fine. Tracking that is hidden in the path, in a redirect service or in a shortened link is not visible to this tool. Name matching is done on the decoded name, and & is treated like & as a separator. To build tagged links instead, use the UTM Builder; to inspect one link in detail use the URL Parser, and for encoding see the URL Encoder/Decoder.
